This year, three members of our department were honoured with the Max Buchner Research Foundation’s travel grant. As part of DECHEMA’s active research funding programme, this scholarship is awarded to young scientists to promote scientific exchange and networking in the international research community.

With this support, Adrian Seitz attended the International Congress on Catalysis (ICC) in Lyon, Benjamin Baier the International Congress of Chemical and Process Engineering (CHISA) in Prague and Dr.-Ing. Patrick Schühle the Annual Meeting on Reaction Engineering and Electrochemical Processes in Würzburg. The presentations focussed on new catalysts and reactors for hydrogenation, dehydrogenation and steam reforming reactions in the context of chemical hydrogen storage. More information can be found on the DECHEMA website under the articles numbers 3885, 3901 and 3907. (https://dechema.de/Forschung/Max_Buchner_Forschungsstiftung/Abschlussberichte/2024.html).

We would like to thank the Max Buchner Research Foundation and DECHEMA for the opportunity to present our current research at these events and to engage in inspiring discussions.
